My tap is leaking
Most taps can be fixed with a simple washer for a few pence and bit of work. Some are so old they will fall apart when disassembled.
The top part of the tap can be unscrewed and a tap reviver kit used. It does involve turning off your water at the stop tap and unfastening a potentially tight
Kitchen and basin taps tend to 1/2 inch fittings.
Bath taps tend to be 3/4 inch fittings.
Although nothing is guaranteed when it comes to sizes.
