Baxi Assure: How Do I Top Up The Pressure

Pressure dropping is a common problem with all (sealed) combi boilers.

Low pressure fault codes

There are two low pressure fault codes of a Baxi Assure 500.

A.02.06 Low system pressure in heating circuit

H.02.07 Low pressure in heating circuit (permanently).

How do I top up the pressure?

You top up the pressure using the filling loop.

The most common filing loop on a Baxi Assure is the type with small blue handles under the bottom right of the boiler.

One of the handle valve feeds cold water from the mains into the filling loop.

The other blue handle valve allows the cold water to enter the heating system.

How to I use the filling loop

Each of the blue handles will only turn one way, either towards you or away from you.

When they are closed the valves are pointing down.

I always recommend taking a photo of the valves before you start so you know what to put them back to.

Turn one valve so it is pointing either forward or backward. This valve is now open.

Slowly turn the other valve backward or forward. They can stick so you might have to turn it hard.

Stop turning when you hear water running.

The pressure gauge will slowly move up.

When the gauge reaches 1bar turn off the valve by pointing them down.

Any fault should clear and the boiler should work again.
